Please take a moment to read the invitation to a remarkable event that will take place March 11, 2010 at UCLA’s Royce Hall – the Long Bright Cantata – a Concert of Hope the proceeds will be used by researchers and doctors in Israel who are discovering amazing new treatments and cutting edge solutions to eradicate cancer.
I am hopeful that after you have read this invitation that you will feel compelled as I do to support this special and inspirational evening. This incredibly touching tribute chronicling Anni Baker Wolman’s courageous struggle with breast cancer will be performed by the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, award winning Israeli soprano Hila Plitmann and Kol Isha, an interfaith, inter-generational women’s choir. The Cantata is a life altering, inspirational and artistic expression. It is a Concert of Hope and through ICRF, the proceeds will be used by researchers and doctors in Israel who are discovering cutting edge solutions to eradicate cancer. Additional event information is available at www.longbright.org.
There is so much outstanding news that I could share with you about the ICRF. They have funded groundbreaking work at over twenty universities, hospitals and institutions in Israel. ICRF scientists have been the recipients of two Nobel Prizes, five Israel Prizes, two Albert Lasker Awards, a Wolf Prize, and have played a key role in the discovery of important drugs such as Gleevec. “Bricks and mortar” are not funded. Funds raised go directly to researchers in Israel and their work is shared globally.
I hope that you will be able to join us. Thank you for your caring and generosity.
